As the American in this group, I had to honour the iconic Kentucky Derby, held the first week of May. I created a wide-brimmed, Derby-appropriate hat with playful “feathers” in pink—a nod to Oaks Day, when women traditionally wear pink to the track the Thursday before the main event.
